The effects of colour

Imagine a world without colour.

Colours play a massive role in our daily lives and as a result our activites and responses are greatly influenced by them.

Most of us are unaware of the effect that colour has on us.

We looked into some of the most popular colours and how they can make us feel...

Red

An incredibly vibrant clour, it is bright and stimulating. It grabs peoples attention and gets you noticed. However too much red has been known to cause stress, frustration and even anger. Wear in moderation.

Blue

A must for the creative ones out there. It soothes and calms us and get the mind flowing. We feel happy when we see a blue sky, bright and light. As above, beware though, too much blue can cause depressive tendencies.

Yellow

Makes us happy!!! It produces Seratonin, a chemical in the brain, which makes us feel happy. Too much yellow in your life may, in turn, cause fatigue so be careful not to overdo it.

Green

Makes us think of nature and the outdoors. Using this colour in your home or office can create the soothing effect by bringing the outdoors in. People working in a green office have been known to be more satisfied with the job they are doing.

White

We instantly think of innocence, purity and cleanliness. The only downfall being that it gets dirty very quickly...

Black

A powerful and authoritive colour that the vast majority of us resort to. This colour makes us feel powerful, knowledgable and important. With regards to the fashion styled and because we are women, we love it because it is slimming...

And with that, we are off to put on every item of clothing that we own, in every colour...
