Ideas worth spreading

Ideas worth spreading

As you know we love to spread ideas here and I am consistently spreading the TED word. It has amazed me how many people still do not know about Ted Talks and so I share here to make sure you tell EVERYONE about it.

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages.

I use TED for inspiration and research. If there is a topic we are delivering for a client more often than not, we shall find information, a nugget of brilliance or statistic on TED.

Their goal? How can we best spread good ideas? They are a mutli linguistic multi disciplinary multi inspirational database of brilliance in the sky (cloud).

This kind of thing is what I believe the internet is made for.

A collective consciousness.

Connection, collaboration and contribution.

Here are a few of my favourites, I am sure you will have seen them but has everyone you know seen them too?

Be rude not to!

1. Brene Brown

Brene Brown is a kick ass Texan who I adore. Her books are in my top ten; her chat is honest, raw and funny.

Her discussion on shame and vulnerability makes sense.
