We spend all year planning that magical getaway to the sun, far far away from where we live, where we work.
We then spend hours in an airport, on a plane and don't get me wrong it is always worth it but we must take a moment to remember and explore what we have on our very own doorstep.
Us Scot's are guilty. We complain about the rain. It's too cold, it's too hot. The poor country can never seem to get it right.
Well travel no more than 4 hours north, up the West coast of Scotland and you will find white sandy beaches that will make you pinch yourself.
The best bit? They are normally always deserted.
