Edinburgh is known for it’s many quirky little lanes and alleyways that are home to lots of lovely cafes, perfect for sitting inside our out on the street (weather permitting). The Royal Mile and surrounding area certainly has plenty but equally the streets off George street and down to New Town have their own charming cafes. Montpelier’s in Bruntsfield is a must visit.
Rollo in Stockbridge is in a buzzy, sought after spot and does excellent food. Great for a quick lunch or a late afternoon into evening vibe.
Chaophraya on George Street is a Thai restaurant on George Street. With excellent views of the castle this is an ideal spot for an evening as you watch the sun go down on Edinburgh! Delicious food and amazing cocktails make it that little bit more special.
Tigerlily on George Street is a great place to start your evening. It's a large bar with plenty of seating and a variety of different bars. You can choose from wine and beer to cocktails or champagne.A great atmosphere to kick start your night in Edinburgh!
Edinburgh makes shopping fairly easy for us as you have most of your high street fashion stores on Princes street running in a straight line and behind it you have the designer and high end shops on George street. Step off the beaten track and you will find boutique stores in places such as Stockbridge, Morningside and in the Old Town.
Edinburgh’s most recent installation has been that of the Tram systems. A long time in the making, but finally it is here and it is brilliant. Running right from the Airport into the City Centre, you get get around very easily and can even manage to do a spot of sightseeing en route. Buses and trains are another option and are very reliable.
Keep in touch monthly (or even more frequently with us*).
